5 Tips to an Acne Free Life

Whether you are an adolescent or an adult who struggles with the breakouts of life, acne can be a troublesome and embarrassing problem.  But acne doesn’t have to be an end because anyone can become acne free.Outlined below are five easy tips to help you get rid of acne.

  1. Drink plenty of water and make healthy food choices.It is an important step to begin healing your skin from the inside out.Consuming plenty of water helps to nourish your skin by hydrating it.By making healthful food choices, you also nourish your body and assist it in getting rid of toxins properly, not through your skin.Choose foods that are high in omega-3 fatty acids and anti-oxidants to help keep your skin healthy and assist in the glow of new skin cells.By consuming foods that are high in vitamin E, you can lessen the appearance of current acne scars.  It is best to choose foods that don’t come in a carry-out bag, or allow a long shelf life. 
  2. Keep your face clean, daily - Daily cleansing of your skin is important, and for some is a no-brainier.Your skin can pick up oils and debris throughout the day and even while you sleep, so cleansing twice a day is often recommended.Try choosing a soap that is mild and formulated for your individual skin type.Regular exfoliation of your skin can also help bring a healthy glow as you remove the dead cells of skin that can clog your pours.  This can help you to become acne free.
  3. By exercising some may think that they are bringing sweat to the surface that can breed bad bacteria.  However, the exercise has a two-fold benefit in helping you become acne free.  First of all, it helps to reduce stress.Reducing stress in your life can be beneficial to your skin.Secondly, to bring an endless supply of oxygen to the surface of your skin, and improve your body’s circulation, you can exercise.Exercise is also recommended for a better overall health.
  4. If you don’t want acne, don’t smoke - Smoking can adversely effect the clearness of your skin as well as the function of many organs.  It clogs your pours with toxins.It is best to stop smoking, for the improvement of your skin and the rest of your body. 
  5. Stay out of the sun - Although some unhindered sun exposure is good of our skin and bodies, this time should be limited.Make sure you wear UV protected sunscreen if you are out in the sun for long periods of time.  

These tips are just a few that can help you rid acne.These are just a few steps in the right direction to help you look your best!
