July 26th, 2009 · No Comments

Acne affect almost everyone whether at early or later stage of life. It is embarrassing when you have acne redness. This is obvious when you are invited to attend social activities such as parties, balls, or opening ceremonies.

Acne redness may not go away after you have cleared your face. Some beauty products can irritate the skin, causing redness. You wish for an instant miracle in getting redness out of acne.

Let’s begin by not making acne redness worse. Leave the red bumps alone. Cleanse your face every day so your face is free from oil.

Never apply alcohol-based beauty products because your skin will become drier. This will encourage the skin to release more oil, clogging the pores. In addition, dry skin can cause irritation and redness.

Some of us are familiar with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. They are easily obtained from any drug store. They are great in treating acne. If I have to choose between salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide to remove redness from acne, then I would say salicylic acid.

Dermatologists usually prescribe antibiotics to treat acne. They may successfully clear your face but it is not advisable to depend on them for too long. Furthermore, prescriptions such as Isotretinoin can cause skin peeling. So, if you want to take redness out of acne, always start with natural remedies.

Some of the natural remedies like bee propolis, tea tree oil and grapefruit seed extract help to reduce inflammation and redness. The advantage of using natural substances is that you don’t have to endure any allergic reaction or skin irritation. Enriched with anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties, they can also treat acne.

You can also try to place a warm tea bag on your acne redness. It will leave behind a residue when you move the tea bag. Just let the residue stay on your face for awhile. When you wash your face, the redness should become lighter.

Sometimes acne redness may go away on its own but it also may be permanent. This is due to scarring. You still have hope. You have to rely on the expertise of your dermatologist.
