All too often, eye makeup tips put too much focus on glamour. I know, hard to imagine. Can you really be too glamorous? Sometimes when dealing with eye makeup, less is more. You simply cannot go around with that incredibly detailed “smoky eye” club look when you are at work. Or at least, it would be unwise.

Of course this does not mean that your eye makeup has to be boring. You can get the same effects with less makeup. Lots of these tactics may save you major time. This look took over 5 minutes off my eye makeup application time.

People mostly use eye makeup to accentuate their eyes. Making your eyes look larger is the best route to go when using every day makeup. You can use this eye makeup tip to make your eyes look bigger naturally.

You will need a light eye shadow and a darker one. These colors need to complement your skin tones. They can be reflective if you like but should not have large particles of glitter. Loreal’s “Wear Infinite” Holographic line works quite well for this look.

1. Apply the light eye shadow in smooth motions up to your brow. This will give you a smooth skin tone and brighten your eye area.

2. Make a smudgy line using the darker eye shadow in the crease of your eye. You will basically make a semi-circle over your eye. This darker shade will make your eyes look wider and brighter when your eyes are open.

That is it – you’re all done. Enjoy your bright-eyed new look. You can also dress up this look with a blue or purple semi circle and a pink back tone. You might also try different tones on the lid below the semi circle.
